Picture Framing Braintree

Darling Picture Framing is an independent bespoke framing studio based in Inworth, Essex — just a short drive from Braintree. We offer professional framing for fine art, photographs, and signed memorabilia, all made to measure in our own studio. If you're looking for something better than the high street can offer, we're worth the trip.

Framing for Braintree and North Essex

Braintree is around 20–25 minutes from our studio in Inworth, via the A120 and A12 — an easy cross-country run through mid-Essex. We serve customers from across the Braintree district, including Halstead, Coggeshall, Earls Colne, Sible Hedingham, and the villages between Braintree and Colchester.

Braintree has a long manufacturing and textile heritage, and today it's home to a mix of families, professionals, and collectors who want something better than what the retail parks offer. Bespoke framing is one of those things that's hard to find locally — which is why customers make the short drive to us.

We frame a wide range of work for Braintree customers: family photographs and portraits, original paintings, limited edition prints, and a growing amount of signed sports and music memorabilia. For memorabilia in particular, the framing is part of the display — it needs to look right, protect the item, and ideally include a Certificate of Authenticity. That's something we handle as standard.

If you're coming from Braintree or Halstead, it's worth calling ahead to make sure we're in the studio — our hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00–16:00, but a quick call means we can give you our full attention when you arrive.

Bespoke Framing — Made to Measure

Every frame is built to order in our own studio. We offer hundreds of moulding styles — from slim contemporary profiles to deep ornate traditional frames — alongside a full range of mount colours, textures, and glazing options. For pieces you want to preserve long-term, we offer conservation-grade and UV-filtering glass that prevents fading and protects against moisture.

High-street framers — where they still exist — tend to work from a limited range of off-the-shelf options. At Darling Picture Framing, every job is handled personally from consultation to collection. You deal with the framer, not a sales assistant.

What We Frame

• Photographs & prints — family portraits, limited edition prints, and photography
• Fine art — original paintings, watercolours, and works on paper
• Signed memorabilia — autographed photos, shirts, programmes, and collectibles with Certificate of Authenticity
• Canvas stretching — loose canvases professionally stretched and mounted

• Certificates & awards — professionally mounted and framed for home or office display
• Needlework & textiles — cross-stitch, embroidery, and fabric pieces mounted to last

Signed Memorabilia — Available to Buy

As well as framing pieces you bring to us, we stock an exclusive collection of signed and framed memorabilia — from Premier League football legends to F1 drivers, cricket stars, and music icons. Every item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is professionally framed in our Essex studio, ready to display.

Popular with Braintree and Halstead customers as gifts and personal collectibles, our range covers football, rugby, motorsport, cricket, music, and more. Browse online or visit the studio to see pieces in person.
