Darling Picture Framing is an independent bespoke framing studio based in Inworth, Essex — conveniently located for customers travelling from Maldon and the Blackwater estuary area. We offer professional framing for fine art, photographs, and signed memorabilia, all made to measure in our own studio.

Maldon is around 20–25 minutes from our studio in Inworth, via the B1019 through Hatfield Peverel or the B1022 through Tiptree — a pleasant cross-country drive through the Essex countryside. We serve customers from across the Maldon district, including Burnham-on-Crouch, Heybridge, Tiptree, Tollesbury, and the villages along the Blackwater estuary.

Maldon is one of Essex's most characterful towns — known for its maritime heritage, independent shops, and strong community. It's also home to a good number of collectors and art enthusiasts, and we see a wide range of work from Maldon customers: original watercolours and coastal prints, family portraits, and signed sports memorabilia.

The coastal and estuary setting means we also frame a fair amount of nautical and maritime artwork for Maldon customers — paintings, prints, and photographs of the Blackwater, the Thames Estuary, and the Essex coast. If you have a piece that captures the area, we'll frame it to do it justice.

If you're making the trip from Maldon or Burnham, it's worth calling ahead to confirm we're in the studio — our hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00–16:00.

Unlike high-street framers working from a limited range of off-the-shelf options, every job at Darling Picture Framing is handled personally from consultation to collection. You deal with the framer, not a sales assistant.
